Everything

Everything: What You Give and What You Gain to Become Like Jesus by Mary Demuth

“I don’t write this book as a condemnation or as a sermon. The last thing I want to do is provide a ‘how to be the best Christian in ten easy steps’ guide. I pen these words as a fellow struggler who is learning that what we think about God matters, how we allow Him to reign in our hearts matters, and how we obey Him in the moment matters. It all matters. Everything.”
Author and speaker Mary DeMuth has been abused, foreclosed, abandoned, and betrayed. She has been pressed and drained till it was too much . . .
But it was just enough to bring her to a place of surrender, piece by precious piece. In that surrender, she found the freedom of giving everything to God. And through Scripture, community, and the work of the Holy Spirit, she gives it all over again, every day.
In this gentle and challenging book, DeMuth describes the process and the nuances that shape us to be more like Christ. Her words are clear, vulnerable, and thought provoking, and every chapter is infused with Scripture.
Most of all, DeMuth provides personal and practical evidence that there is no greater pursuit than Christ. We must surrender everything, but it does not compare to the Everything He is, the Everything He gives.

Never again. From now on I'll stick with what I know. Why did I think it was a good idea to step out of the YA genre? I couldn't even finish this book. Believe me I tried. I'm not one to give up on a book easily. I wanted to enjoy this book but it was exactly what it said it didn't want to be. A guide on how to be the best Christian.

Ceaseless By Abbi Glines

Ceaseless by Abbi Glines

Ceaseless by Abbi Glines

Can he make her fall in love with him… again?

When Pagan Moore proved worthy of Death’s devotion, he was given the gift of getting to keep her.

But Dank was never promised that Pagan would keep him.

When a soul is created, so is its mate. In every lifetime those souls find each other. They complete the other’s destiny. It’s time for Pagan’s soul to choose if she truly wants an eternity at Death’s side or if she wants the mate created just for her.

Dank didn’t think he had to worry about her choice. He knew where her heart belonged. Until he realized that every kiss, every touch, every moment of their time together would be washed from her memories. He would have to win her heart all over again and prove to her soul that he was where she belonged.

If only her soul’s mate wasn’t right there standing in his way

REVIEW::

I'm about to seriously cry! This just cant be the end...I want more Dank (Yumalicious!) and Pagan(Ugh,why oh why cant that be me??!)! I sped through this book, then just wanted to slap myself for not making it last longer! Oh well. I can always reread the series again and again and again. I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. Although Abbi...a couple more books of Dank and Pagan's new life together wouldn't hurt.....
*nudge nudge wink wink*
Okay..Now its time for me to rant a little on what I didn't like...I loved it don't get me wrong...I just expected more. I guess I figured there would have been more between Pagan and Jay in this book but, Jay was NEVER any kind of competition. I seriously wanted MORE of a threat to Dank and Pagan's love. I wanted to BELIEVE that Pagan just might not end up with Dank like we all wanted. There was hardly anything between Jay and Pagan and that kind of ruined it for me.
With that said I loved everything else. I even played Dank's songs when he was singing in the book and OMG it made my tummy do stupid little cartwheels. As far as recommending the book goes...I say its a good read but not a necessity..

SO this book gets......Drum roll please....

Running away brings Rhine and Gabriel right into a trap, in the form of a twisted carnival whose ringmistress keeps watch over a menagerie of girls. Just as Rhine uncovers what plans await her, her fortune turns again. With Gabriel at her side, Rhine travels through an environment as grim as the one she left a year ago - surroundings that mirror her own feelings of fear and hopelessness.

The two are determined to get to Manhattan, to relative safety with Rhine’s twin brother, Rowan. But the road there is long and perilous - and in a world where young women only live to age twenty and young men die at twenty-five, time is precious. Worse still, they can’t seem to elude Rhine’s father-in-law, Vaughn, who is determined to bring Rhine back to the mansion...by any means necessary.

In the sequel to Lauren DeStefano’s harrowing Wither, Rhine must decide if freedom is worth the price - now that she has more to lose than ever.

My current addictions

One of my current addictions is none other then Jennifer Armentrout's Lux series!! Isn't Daemon just drool worthy? He is totally smoking hot but such a jerk! Also Jennifer Armentrout's Covenant series! AND her Cursed book....Okay So maybe I'm just addicted to anything Jennifer Armentrout writes! I mean she REALLY knows how to make you swoon for the guys.

I'm in LOVE with Gwen Hayes' Falling Under series. I love the world Gewn has created! To me it was like a mix of Alice in wonderland meets Nightmare before Christmas. This series drew me in from page one!

Abbie Glines' Existence series is amazing! Who wouldn't love Dank?!?

Melissa Darnell's Clann Series....Love it! I love it when an author can pull off writing from two different point of views!

AND of course Jennifer Estep's Mythos Academy series. I have this thing with hot sexy guys who are jerks...Its just sooo attractive!

So Let me know what series your addicted to right now..Or let me know who you find drop dead gorgeous right now..

Welcome to my blog!

SO I'm super excited to be starting this blog!!! I've been wanting to do this for soooo long now and finally some things in my life have changed to make it possible. Please stick with me while I try to bring you a good site with LOTS of reviews and giveaways! While I'm not entirely sure how to get my blog out there I will do the best I can. I will be posting a giveaway within the next few weeks. Maybe a book or giftcard. Maybe even a readers choice.
Anyways I want to let everyone know I usually read YA paranormal romances for the most part. I do occasionally indulge in other things. Like dystopia or just a good young adult romance novel. My reviews for the most part are simple and to the point. I will also be trying to get my childrens's book blog up and going. Thanks for visiting and I hope to see more followers!!!
